Sicilian olive salad, lasagna, pina lata, turkeey, applesauce cake … you will be the end of me.
So unfortunately my sister got snowed in and didn’t get to spend Christmas with us. But the good news is that she got to spend Christmas with friends and will be coming in this week, so we’re going to spend the whole day together. We’re definitely hitting up the sales, due to all of the gift certificates and checks that came between us. That and I got some very cute clothes - I am going to be one fashionista come January.
She was supposed to have taken the bus that would arrive here at 4 pm. But apparently on the way there there was a bad accident so she was late and then missed her bus. My brother waited for her downtown in the rain for an hour before he found out because her phone was dead.
It’s Christmas Eve and I was looking forward to spending it with my sister who was going to stay with me. My brother’s really upset that she didn’t call sooner and my whole family is chaotic. What is it with me and Christmas Eve? Isn’t it supposed to be a time when things become possible?
There’s a later bus tonight, but the bus company may not even run it because of the bad weather. None of us know what to do.

My favorite Wonder Years Episode ever.
Christmas Song of the Day - Day 25 (sort of)
Ray Charles - That Spirit of Christmas
I know it isn’t Christmas yet, but I don’t think I will be on tomorrow. And this way, you can enjoy it today - I saved my favorite song for last. =)
Christmas Song of the Day - Day 24
Judy Garland - Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
Judy Garland - Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas (Meet Me in St. Louis)
This is one of my favorite movies in the world. It was my very favorite when I was a little girl and still holds such meaning to me. This scene is perfection.
But it only comes but once a year, so I’m doing my best to spread holiday cheer (and no, I did not intend for that to rhyme).
Tonight I shall watch my favorite Christmas movie of all time.
